Childhood Under Threat

I must accknowledge that the title I have given was the United Nation's title given to one of the report on 'Child Labour',published in 2007.
As it is very clear that its a discourse on Child Labour so not going in the already said and morbid talks of datas and reports,we directly come to Rajesh Pandey,a 14 year old boy,who works at juce shop.He is 'fortunately' not doing any labourious job but according to trend,he would be called a child labour.Infact he is not even abused physically but ya sometimes scolded by the shop owner on 'breaking a glass' or 'making something different from the order' and one slap or two, which I don't think is any kind of abuse as children at home too are scolded and (rarely/frequently) slaped by their parents. But,here, dear Rajesh is unfortunate,to not have even a single parent,God mercilessly took them away from him when he was merely 8 or 9,as he don't know his age yet too very surely.
I would like to let you know that I am student of an institute, which is prestigious and well-known for its campus beauty and culture,'Visveswaray National Institute of Technology',Nagpur.I am not telling this to let myself feel proud, but to let YOU know the wicked face, the juce shop is just outside the campus, near to the boundry wall, from where playground of our college can easily be seen and the playing students also. The campus remains open for morning walk for the local people, usually doctors who have their whole community near to the college, they and offcourse the VNITians are served with the juce of fresh fruits and vegetables by innocent 'Rajesh'.We must ruminate upon this that our per petrol expenses are far more, than, what he get for his less labourious job, just 50 rupees a day,and sometimes less than that if any accident happens, breaking of glass or customer's dissatisfaction...He works even when his finger get cut while cutting hard pineapple, however the juce tastes sweeter with his blood.
We need not to talk about his education because he is prodigy, not even been seen the school,he has come to the college and he is so intellactual that instead to study he teaches here and what he teaches,How to live a dispaired life? And once been dispaired by God,he continuosly becomes the victim of people's anger, agony and all that which they are unable to do with the more bold and powerful world but Rajesh being out of this world, they think, can bear this.
According to law,he is in age when he can do such jobs but been continued with education, but we all know that to continue there must be a start.Definately, there is a demand of a start,a start to think about Rajesh, and Rajesh is just one,we have millions of Rajesh, who belong to a wide range of a day born baby to 18 year old 'adult'.
I must quote the lines from 'Indomitable Spirit' by our former President Dr.Kalam
"Childhood is a steping stone upon which stands the whole life structure.Aseed sown in childhood blossoms in the tree of life."Not very apt in reference of Rajesh,as he already has fruit in his hand,so what,if not to eat but atleast to cut for, then why he should think about the tree, which is infact a long process but he has to eat something to hold those fruits...........
What these writings can do even,it is not the one story which is so pathetic, many have come in light and without any effort, were just read and forgot. What if I make any appeal too,it will also be useless, but yes what can be done is to let everyone ask their soul,IS THIS RIGHT?THAT'S ALL HERE ENDS OUR WORK,if the answer is yes then make it a will and just act, untill we conquer.........
